Christian Education in Simcoe County

Begin your journey with Trinity Christian School in just six easy steps. Our admissions process is designed to be clear, welcoming, and supportive as your family takes the next step toward joining our Christ-centred learning community.

Admissions Process

Step 1

The admissions journey begins with an Inquiry

We are delighted that you are considering Trinity Christian School for your child's educational journey. Becoming part of the Trinity community is more than enrolling in a school—it's joining a Christ-centred learning environment where students are encouraged to grow in faith, knowledge, character, and purpose.

A member of our Admissions Team will follow up on your Inquiry Form by email to guide you through the next steps.

We look forward to connecting with you!

Step 2

Tour Trinity to see what we have to offer and how Christian Worldview permeates the classroom!

If your child meets the entry requirements, the Admissions Team will send a link to the online application. Please use the application to schedule a school tour. While you wait for your tour date, you are welcome to start and complete the application.

The application provides important information about your child, academic history, and family background. This information helps our Admissions Team get to know your family and determine the best educational fit.

Step 4

Assessment & Interview

The application is reviewed.

If the application aligns with Trinity’s Admission Policies and space is available, the family will be invited to proceed with the following steps:

1. Administration Fee

A one-time, non-refundable, $500 Administration Fee is required and paid via the online application. This fee is waived for families transferring from another Edvance Christian school where the fee has already been paid.

2. Academic Assessment

Assessments help us understand each student’s learning needs, support grade placement, and determine classroom fit.

  • JK and SK: Students are invited to join a classroom, where school-readiness skills are observed. These may include following instructions, responding to redirection, interacting with peers, demonstrating large- and fine-motor skills, etc.

  • Grades 1–8: Students complete an assessment, approximately one hour in length, one-to-one with our Resource Teacher covering reading comprehension, spelling, and mathematics.

  • Grades 9–12: An assessment or further review may be requested at the discretion of Administration, based on the student’s application and report card.

3. Admission Interview

Parents meet with Administration to discuss their child’s learning style, social development, and any medical or learning support needs. The conversation also explores the family’s faith journey and how faith is nurtured at home.

Administration will share more about Trinity’s educational approach, community expectations, and PITCH (Participating in Trinity Christian), our family volunteer program requiring 25 service hours per family each school year.

Step 5

Acceptance & Enrollment

The application, assessment results, and interview information are reviewed in accordance with Trinity’s classroom enrollment policy.

Families will receive one of the following by email:

  • Waitlist Notification — advising that a space is not currently available, but the student may be considered if an opening arises.

  • Acceptance Offer — confirming the student’s acceptance to Trinity Christian School and outlining the steps to finalize enrollment:

    • Review the tuition invoice and establish a payment plan

    • Sign the family’s Enrollment Contract

    • Review and sign Media Consent and other required school policies

    • If applicable, request transportation to have the student added to a bus route

Once all required steps are complete, the student is officially enrolled, and the family is welcomed into the Trinity Christian School community!
