INTRODUCTIONA New Chapter for Christian Education in Barrie
For more than 60 years, Christian education in Barrie has been a story of vision, courage, and unwavering faith. Today, that legacy continues as Timothy Christian School and Unity Christian High School come together as TRINITY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL – one JK-12 community, united under one roof.
This next chapter calls us to expand our facilities, strengthen our programs, and grow our capacity to nurture faith and learning for generations to come.
NOTE: Timothy Christian School and Unity Christian High School are amalgamating into Trinity Christian School effective August 1, 2026. Any references in this document to Trinity Christian School is to be understood as the combination of the two separate entities: Timothy Christian School and Unity Christian High School until August 1, 2026. During the pre-amalgamation phase, Timothy Christian School will be the recipient and steward of funds received on behalf of Trinity Christian School prior to its establishment on August 1, 2026.
Message from the Cabinet
Our community has been richly blessed by Christ-centered education through Timothy and Unity for generations. Together, these schools have provided exceptional education rooted in God’s Word. The unification into a JK–12 Christian school with a combined, expanded facility presents an incredible opportunity to offer students and families a seamless, cohesive educational journey.
"This is more than an expansion – it’s a renewal of our mission. We are building faith by strengthening our spiritual foundation and shaping futures by preparing young people to serve God’s Kingdom with integrity and purpose."

ABOUT THE PROJECTBuilding For The Future Together
We believe the best education a child can receive is Christ-centred and nurtures their heart, mind, and faith. That’s why we are embarking on a bold and exciting journey to bring Timothy Christian School and Unity Christian High School together as one campus of learning under one roof as a true embodiment of Building Faith and Shaping Futures.
Our new JK–12 campus will be a place where 600 students from over 70 churches and multiple communities grow academically, spiritually, and socially. It will provide connected independence for elementary, middle, and high school students, cultivating an environment where every learner is inspired to live out God’s purpose for their life.
ENROLMENTEnrolment Projections Summary
The 2025/26 figures reflect Trinity Christian School’s current enrolment of 407 students from 216 families.
The 2026/27 projection includes approximately 10 additional JK–Grade 8 families, representing 19 new students. Growth within the elementary division is currently restricted by available classroom capacity. The projection also assumes approximately 15% enrolment growth within Grades 9–12.
Projections from 2027/28 through 2030/31 are based on Trinity’s historical annual growth rate of approximately 11% within JK–Grade 8, combined with projected annual growth of approximately 15% within Grades 9–12.
Based on these assumptions, total enrolment is projected to increase from 407 students in 2025/26 to approximately 682 students by 2030/31. The number of Trinity families is projected to increase from 216 to approximately 369 during the same period.
These projections assume that sufficient classroom, instructional, staffing and operational capacity will be available to accommodate the anticipated growth.
Growing God’s Vision
For generations, Timothy Christian School and Unity Christian High School have provided students in Barrie and the surrounding community with a strong, Christ-centred education. Now united as Trinity Christian School, we are building upon that remarkable legacy and preparing for an exciting new chapter.
As enrolment grows and the needs of students continue to evolve, our aging facilities and limited campus space can no longer support the full vision we believe God has placed before us. This is our opportunity to dream bigger—to create a modern, purpose-built JK–Grade 12 campus where faith, learning, athletics, creativity, leadership, and community can flourish together.
Growing God’s Vision is more than a building campaign. It is an investment in students, families, and future generations. Through expanded classrooms, specialized learning environments, enhanced athletic facilities, additional land, and welcoming spaces for worship and community, we are creating a campus that will equip students to discover their God-given gifts and use them with courage, purpose, and excellence.
We envision an enhanced campus that will have:
-
A modern, competition-ready gymnasium with spectator seating, change rooms, storage, and a dedicated fitness and training area. This facility will strengthen Trinity’s athletic programs, allow the school to host tournaments and community events, and create new revenue opportunities through facility rentals.
-
The acquisition and development of additional land will provide space for a regulation track, athletic fields, multi-use courts, outdoor recreation areas, and expanded green space. These areas will support competitive athletics, physical education, outdoor learning, environmental studies, and school-wide community events.
-
Updated classrooms and laboratories will be designed to meet the needs of today’s students and tomorrow’s workforce. Trinity will require a variety of specialized spaces to support enhanced programming in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, skilled trades, robotics, visual arts, music, media, and other hands-on learning disciplines.
-
A purpose-built high school environment will give secondary students dedicated classrooms, collaborative learning areas, student commons, study spaces, and age-appropriate facilities. This will help create a strong high school identity while supporting Trinity’s continued growth as a complete JK–Grade 12 Christian school.
-
A flexible auditorium or multi-purpose gathering space will support chapel services, worship, theatre productions, concerts, guest speakers, assemblies, graduations, and community events. This space will become a central gathering place where faith, creativity, and community come together.
-
Dedicated workshops and innovation labs will allow students to explore construction, mechanical systems, design, coding, robotics, fabrication, entrepreneurship, and other practical career pathways. These spaces will prepare students for university, college, apprenticeships, and future employment.
-
Updated entrances, parent drop-off areas, bus routes, pedestrian walkways, parking, lighting, and accessibility features will improve safety and reduce congestion as Trinity’s enrolment and campus activity continue to grow.

Faith is built not only through what students are taught, but through what they experience and observe every day.

“We are so thankful for the Trinity Christian school communities, and are very excited to see these two campuses join together into one JK-12 school! As parents, we have witnessed firsthand the incredible impact that Christian education has had on our children as they receive quality academics with a deep Christian worldview embedded in all areas. They learn to see all of creation with an understanding that knowledge reflects the glory of our God. Our children are encouraged to think deeply about their faith, not being afraid to ask questions and seek answers, knowing that the truth they discover is consistent and supportive of a Biblical worldview. Students are engaged in their learning as teachers come up with innovative and creative ways to teach. Chapel times and buddies help our children feel connected to the school body as a whole, and show what unity in Christ looks like as it is lived on a daily basis.”

Building Faith. Shaping Futures.
The creation of Trinity Christian School represents more than the unification of two respected Christian schools. It brings together decades of experience, strong educational traditions, and a shared commitment to Christ-centred learning under one clear vision for the future.
The enhanced campus will be designed to inspire learning, strengthen faith, and equip students to pursue their God-given purpose with excellence, compassion, and courage. Purpose-built spaces for academics, athletics, worship, the arts, skilled trades, STEM, and student support will allow Trinity to offer a complete and connected JK–Grade 12 educational experience.
A united campus will also expand Trinity’s role within the wider Christian and local community. Welcoming facilities will create opportunities for tournaments, performances, conferences, church gatherings, community programs, facility rentals, and lifelong learning.
By bringing students, families, educators, churches, and community partners together, Trinity will become more than a place students attend each day. It will be a vibrant centre for learning, worship, leadership, service, and meaningful connection—building faith and shaping futures for generations to come.
