Statement of Faith
At Trinity Christian School, our faith is the foundation of everything we do. Rooted in Biblical truth and centred on Jesus Christ, we seek to nurture students who know God, grow in wisdom and confidently live out their faith with purpose.
STATEMENTStatement of Faith
Rooted in Truth. Growing in Faith. Living with Purpose.
At Trinity Christian School, our faith is not simply one part of who we are—it is the foundation of everything we do.
We believe that every student is created by God, known by God and called to live with purpose. Our commitment is to provide a Christ-centred education where Biblical truth shapes learning, relationships, character and service.
As a Christian school community, we affirm the following foundational beliefs:
THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and trustworthy, and the foundation for faith, life and learning.
Scripture reveals God's character, His purposes for creation and His plan of redemption. It provides the Biblical worldview through which we seek to understand ourselves, our world and our responsibility within it.
THE TRIUNE GOD
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
God is the Creator and Sustainer of all things. He is holy, loving, just, merciful and faithful. All creation belongs to Him and exists for His glory.
CREATION & HUMANITY
We believe God created the heavens and the earth and that His creation reveals His power, wisdom and goodness.
Human beings are uniquely created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity, value and purpose.
We believe God calls us to care responsibly for His creation, love our neighbours and use our gifts in service to Him and others.
JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human.
We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His teachings and miracles, His death on the cross for our sins, His bodily resurrection and His ascension into heaven.
Jesus Christ is Lord and the only Saviour and Redeemer of humanity.
SIN & SALVATION
We believe humanity's relationship with God has been broken by sin and that reconciliation with God is possible only through His grace and the saving work of Jesus Christ.
Salvation is God's gift, received through faith in Jesus Christ—not something we can earn through our own efforts.
Through Christ, we are forgiven, restored and invited into a new life of faith, hope and obedience.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is present and active in the lives of believers.
The Holy Spirit leads us into truth, strengthens our faith, develops Christ-like character and equips us to use our gifts in service to God and others.
THE CHURCH & CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of believers who are called to worship God, grow in faith, encourage one another and share the hope of Jesus Christ with the world.
Trinity Christian School exists alongside the Christian home and local church. We believe Christian education is strongest when school, family and church work together in the spiritual formation and development of children.
CHRISTIAN LIFE & CALLING
We believe followers of Jesus are called to demonstrate their faith through the way they live.
We seek to cultivate lives characterized by love, integrity, humility, courage, compassion, justice, forgiveness and service.
God has given every person gifts and abilities that can be developed and used for His purposes. Education therefore involves more than acquiring knowledge—it prepares students to discern truth, develop wisdom, serve others and faithfully pursue their God-given calling.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
We believe all truth belongs to God and that faith and learning cannot be separated.
At Trinity, a Christian worldview is intentionally woven throughout the educational experience—from academics and athletics to the arts, relationships, leadership, outdoor education and service.
Students are encouraged to ask meaningful questions, investigate God's world, think critically, create boldly and learn to discern truth through the lens of Scripture.
Our goal is not simply to prepare students for what comes next academically. We seek to develop young people who know what they believe, understand why they believe it and are equipped to live it out with confidence, wisdom and grace.
OUR SHARED COMMITMENT
Trinity Christian School is a community of families, educators and students united by a shared commitment to Christian education.
We recognize that families may come from different Christian denominations and traditions. Within those differences, we remain united around the foundational truths of the Christian faith and our shared desire to see children grow academically, spiritually, socially and personally as followers of Jesus Christ.
Together, we seek to create a school community where Christ is honoured, Biblical truth is taught, questions are welcomed, gifts are discovered and students are prepared to make a meaningful difference in the world.
This is the foundation from which we teach, learn, lead and serve.
Core Family Values
At Trinity Christian School, we believe that the Bible is the Word of God and that all people are created in God’s image.
Because of our understanding of the Old and New Testaments, our school teaches these Core Family Values:
That it is unacceptable for Christians to teach hatred against any group or individual.
That human life begins at conception and that an unborn child at any stage of development is fully human and should be treated as such.
That marriage is an exclusively heterosexual institution involving one biological man and one biological woman.
DEFINITION: “Biological sex” means the biological condition of being male or female as determined at birth based on physical differences, or, when necessary, at the chromosomal level.
That extramarital sexual intimacy is morally wrong and incompatible with Biblical teaching.
